AD FOR ORCAD

Photography : Jeff Zaruba

Digital Art : Darren Westlund

This is the oldest piece of work on this site. Jeff Zaruba was the guy who actually hired someone to teach me how to work in Photoshop, back around version 1.5 when you had to use channels to do layering effects like you see here. Computers were much, much slower back then. Sometimes a simple function like an Unsharp Mask would take thirty minutes to get through the processing. It's amazing we got any work done at all.

When Jeff moved from Seattle to California, Studio 3 Inc. hired me specifically because Jeff and I had won a big digital job that they had been bidding on a few months before. The woman who hired me later became my wife. So you see, I owe Jeff quite a lot. But I owe even more to Photoshop--the software that changed my life!

Adobe probably gets weepy, half-crazed testimonials like that all the time, don't you think?
