Sophie Dahl has a lot of things going for her: supermodel stardom, the best grandparents any girl could ask for (Oscar-winning actress Patricia Neal and the writer Roald Dahl—imagine the bedtime stories...), famous artists and intellectuals lusting after her (including Salman Rushdie, if you can believe the tabloid rumors). But when Patrik made Sophie recline on a wet piece of black plastic and hosed her down for this photo shoot, she ended up needing a little retouching help. Anybody would, under those circumstances. By the time I was done with her, she was ready for her centerfold spread in Fab Mag. Just before publication, Sophie got word to Patrik that she loved the photos. I don't think he mentioned my involvement. Why should he? That girl gets all the breaks.
