This was one of the first images I created when I moved to Seattle in 1993. The shot of my brother, Devin--in one of those ubiquitous Seattle coffee houses--was merged with a shot of my ex-girlfriend Michelle sprawled on a beach in Cambria entwined in tree climber's rope. It's all about my guilt at leaving Michelle, of course. The image was published in Pulse Magazine in 1994. Devin's wings were added later, in 1998, when the image became part of the Urban Angels series.
