I've made and lost fortunes in the stock market. Well, fortunes for me, anyway. I don't know how the managers of the big mutual funds can live with themselves when the trades go against them. Imagine going home and saying to your wife, "Gee, honey, I sure had a rough week. I lost about $40 million dollars worth of other people's money." Of course, I suppose you'd feel like you could splurge on dinner out and a movie when it went the other way.
